Hello! My name is Zachary Warren and I am ecstatic to continue my journey as an educator at Pike Road High School for a second year. I teach Chemistry, Honors Chemistry, and AP Chemistry. I have also recently began coaching cross country! While I truly love science and running, my true passion is impacting the lives of students in whatever way I can. During my time with my students I aim to form genuine, deep, and meaningful relationships with each of them. I believe our students have so much to offer the world and I hope to help them unlock parts of their potential which they may have never known existed. Along the way I expect to learn much more from them than they will ever learn from me (but they WILL learn a lot with me!)

After school I go home to my beautiful wife, Victoria, who is currently a student at Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine. We are from East Tennessee, which is where i grew up and received my two degrees from East Tennessee State University - a B.S. in Microbiology and a Masters of Arts in Teaching.Together we have an orange kitty named Link, two Goldendoodles (Honey and Ollie), two slider turtles (Shelly and Regina), a hedgehog named Doug, and a Leopard Gecko named Vesper. I am the kind of person who is easily entertained and find myself drawn into so many different interests and hobbies. I am a huge nerd and love reading/watching science fiction and fantasy such as Star Wars, Dune, the Expanse, Dark, Mistborn, Stormlight Archive, etc. I love going on backpacking trips, running, mountain biking, playing racquetball and pickleball, pickup basketball, ultimate frisbee, or basically any other activity where you have to move. Any time a Philadelphia 76ers, Auburn football, or Titans game is on, I will be watching it. Diet Dr. Pepper and Mountain Dew Spark are my kryptonites.
